1. The New York Times has reported on the story of a photojournalist, by the name of Daniel Rodrigues, who went on a mission to Africa, took this photograph while playing soccer with some local children, then had to sell his camera, lenses, and accessories when he returned to Portugal, in order to help pay for expenses and utilities while living with his grandmother.  The photo went on to win the first place prize in the category of Daily Life at the 2012 World Press Photo Competition.  With the spotlight now focused on the young photographer, the support began to pour in, with Canon and a local bank offering him support to keep shooting.  Heartwarming, and a great story.  Check out the full article with interview here.
